Serving God By Serving Others is just part of our mission

Calvary for life Ministry is an evangelistic/discipleship, music-based ministry. Our mission is to bring the truth of God to all who need it. Our primary focus will be on reaching the lost and hurting so that we can help restore them to a right relationship with God. We will reach out to the “shut-ins” in places such as elderly care facilities and nursing homes and other shelters. However, we will not limit our reach as we place that in God’s hands and we will go anywhere God directs us to including prisons and homeless shelters.

We will follow the example that Jesus set forth as he “went about all Galilee, TEACHING in their synagogues, PREACHING the gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among people” (Matt 4:23).

We will PREACH the word of God from an evangelical viewpoint allowing God to speak and be the primary focus. We will not only present the truth of God in our speech but also in our walk as we follow Jesus’ command to “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).

We will TEACH sound doctrine as we disciple. We will not allow popular opinion to dictate our doctrinal, teaching. We will use the Word of God as our primary teaching resource. We will offer Bible studies in person where possible and do our best to facilitate those who cannot attend. We will reach out to others and obey Jesus by teaching them the truth of God’s word. “Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matt. 22:37-39)

We will HEAL through proper biblical counseling and prayer. We will help people seek forgiveness and forgive others as we help them deal with the trials and tribulations of life by focusing on God and relying on Him who “shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).

We will use music to lead worship, teach the truths of God and encourage people. We will also use music to help fund the ministry through goodwill offerings. We will follow the command to “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord” (Col. 3:16), as our central scripture.

The goal at Calvary for Life Ministry is to reach out to the lost, broken and forgotten, emphasizing the importance of a relationship with Christ as we help the church grow by preaching the gospel to everyone we meet and follow His path glorifying Him in all we do (Col. 3:17).
